Our commitment to your Florida Interior Design career does not end at graduation. The Institute of Interior Design's career placement program helps match your skills with the demands of the industry. We work closely with employers and have secured long lasting relationships with interior design and decorating companies who look to The Institute of Interior at Southwest Florida College to fulfill their vacant positions.

The Career Services staff at The Institute of Interior Design provides the following services to students and graduates at no extra cost throughout their lifetime:

Cooperative Education/Externships
Interior Decorating students can make the school-to-work transition a smoother one by participating in cooperative education. A co-op provides students with hands-on work experience while earning college credit.

Resume and Portfolio Review
Having a professional resume is crucial in a competitive job market. It could make the difference as whether you get called for an interview or not. The Career Services department provides resume and portfolio writing/review assistance to students to be sure they are putting their best foot forward.

Interview Tips
Nervous about an upcoming interview? Students can stop by the Career Services department for interview and professional etiquette tips that will help them make a lasting impression during their interview.

Portfolio Shows and Career Fairs
Where employers and students meet. Several times a year our Florida Design College will hold Portfolio Shows and Career Fairs where students can showcase their talent and land a great job!
